The 2020 Hunting Awards for foreign hunting trophies have been announced
Cinegética 2020, in its eighth edition, once again rewards the effort, passion and dedication of hunters who carry out their hunting adventures in all corners of the planet in favour of ethical hunting and with the maximum effort to achieve the best trophies.The Hunting Awards are given to both the hunter and the hunting organisation. Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded for Europe, Asia, Africa and America, with a special category for bow hunting. A special prize is also awarded for the best trophy presented. The trophies presented correspond to wild and free animals; trophies from introduced animals are not accepted and the information provided to the jury omits the names of the hunters and the companies organising the hunts.
To award these prizes, the jury takes into account the following criteria and in this order:
1st- Objective difficulty of the hunt.
2nd- Appreciation of the species or subspecies in the hunting field.
3rd- Quality of the trophy within its species or subspecies.
The jury, which met on February 20, awarded the 2020 Hunting Awards in the different categories to the hunters listed below. The award for the Best Hunting Trophy 2020, the Nikon Award , went to a Himalayan baral trophy (Pseudois nayaur), shot by Lucio Gonzalez .
In this edition, the awards of the 2020 Cinegética Awards will be presented on the stage of pavilion 12, during the celebration of Cinegética 2020, next Friday, March 20, at 7:00 p.m.
The award for Best Hunting Trophy 2020, the Nikon Award , and the Tony Sánchez Ariño Award - which on this occasion has gone to the Nikon company for its good work and its continuous promotion and defence of hunting - will be presented during the Cinegética-SCI dinner to be held on Saturday the 21st at 9:30 p.m. at the Novotel Madrid Center (O'Donell Street, 53).
