Hunting 2015 as seen by RangoDinámico14
RangoDinámico14 is an audiovisual production company that, despite being young, has more than twenty years of experience. Its cameras were brought to Hall 12 at IFEMA to record images at Cinegética 2015 that would later serve as support for a report.
We asked Lorenzo Andrada, from the RangoDinámico14 team, what impression he got from Cinegética and this is what he answered with a touch of humor:
As part of a report we are preparing, we have visited IFEMA to see Cinegética. Pavilion 12 is a spectacular space with a dome reminiscent of Victorian stations. The place, in truth, is already impressive.
Someone told us off the record that hunters are really flirts. That's probably why there were so many stands with clothes and accessories of all kinds. I don't know if hunters are vain, but what is clear is that hunting gives you a great skin color.
There were also luxury cars, biodegradable ammunition, magnificent animal paintings, signs for hunting grounds, a glass-enclosed archery area and even a portable swimming pool with boats.
Many were checking the scopes and shouldering a gun. I asked about the price of “shotguns” and, thanks to that, I learned what a rifle is. But I suppose you already know the difference.
I also didn't know that taxidermists use synthetic fibres to make stuffing. The compositions of African animals that are forever still and in full activity were the stars of Cinegética. The lions in full hunt surrounded by elephants, the giraffes and the races through the savannahs of Pavilion 12 will now be in the background of thousands of selfies. For sure!
At Cinegética you can book anything from a hunt in Toledo to an expedition to Lithuania or Canada. In many places around the world, we are assured that hunting concessions have served to protect many natural species.
We were told that hunting is an indescribable emotion and not comparable to others: the smells of the countryside, the saliva of waiting, the tension, the adrenaline...
There were a lot of people at the fair. As we walked back to the car with our filming equipment, I was thinking that if I were one of the security guards who stayed overnight in Hall 12 to do the rounds, maybe I would imagine myself as Fitz Hutton.
