Hunting and the hunter woman

Hunting is a sport that has traditionally been dominated by men, but more and more women are taking an interest in this activity and becoming experienced hunters. However, many women do not know other fellow female enthusiasts of this activity, and that is why we want Cinegética 2023 to be the meeting point for women hunters. Don't miss out on the events we have prepared for the fair and buy your tickets now by clicking here.

Why is it important to give a voice to more women hunters?

The number of women hunters is increasing. In fact, in the last two years there has been an increase of more than 50% in the number of licenses in Spain. Women hunters can encourage other women to take up this activity and social networks are great allies, allowing them to communicate their message and discover that hunting is a source of physical and emotional well-being, as well as an opportunity for personal growth and connection with nature.

How can I meet other women hunters?

This year we will be welcoming some very special guests involved in the world of hunting. In addition, we are organizing some events specifically for women hunters at our exhibitors' stands, where you will be able to meet other women hunters. More details on this will follow soon.

What is the history of women in hunting?

Being a woman hunter is a very rewarding and enriching experience in many ways. If you are interested in hunting, don't hesitate to explore this activity, find a community of women hunters and discover all it has to offer. Women's involvement in hunting dates back to prehistoric times, when women gathered food and hunted small animals to supplement the diet of their communities.

Although for centuries hunting was considered a male activity, today women hunters are an important part of the hunting community worldwide. Today's women hunters are active in hunting roles, such as wildlife management and promoting sustainability, and are increasingly talking about their experiences with hunting and conservation.

What about you? Why do you practice this activity?
