
MOMAD, the 1st Fly Tying Competition for Fishing at CINEGÉTICA 2015.
Cinegética has been supporting fishing for three years and, on this occasion, will have a new event dedicated to sport fishing. Thus, throughout Saturday, March 21 , the “ MOMAD ” will take place, the 1st Fly Tying Competition for Fishing, organized by Canal Caza y Pesca .
The world of hunting is combined with that of fishing through the use of hair and feathers from numerous game such as deer, woodcock, partridge or hare, which together with other materials are used to form hooks imitating insects, fish, and other artificial lures that are authentic works of art and that manage to fool trout, pike, bass, carp and barbel, mainly.
Cinegética will host, with the MOMAD , a large group of renowned assemblers from Castilla León, Navarra, Asturias, Galicia, Castilla la Mancha, Cantabria and Madrid, among whom stands out a European champion, to show the different assembly patterns of these old and laborious decoys, from the traditional style of the 17th century to the most current ones.
The public will be able to learn how to make flies for fishing from great experts and, in addition, the riggers will have the opportunity to test their creations in the Cinegética pool, in pavilion 12 of IFEMA .
