
Cinegética 2019 opens its doors. The president of the Junta de Extremadura cuts the ribbon
From 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, Hall 14 of IFEMA, which hosts the seventh edition of Cinegética 2019 , has opened its doors to all lovers of the countryside and hunting who will be able to visit its 14,000 m2 of exhibition space until Sunday, March 24, at 3:00 p.m.

The opening ceremony of the fair was held at 5:00 p.m. with the presence of the following authorities: Mr. Guillermo Fernández Vara, President of the Regional Government of Extremadura; Mr. Pedro Rollán Ojeda, Vice President and Minister of the Presidency and Spokesperson for the Community of Madrid; Mrs. Isabel Bombal Díaz, Director General of Rural Development, Innovation and Forestry Policy; Dr. Marcial Gómez Sequeira, President of Cinegética 2019; Mr. Eduardo López-Puertas, Director General of IFEMA; Mr. Pedro Muñoz Barco, Director General of the Environment of the Regional Government of Extremadura; Mr. Teófilo de Luis, Member of Parliament for the Popular Party; Mr. Rodrigo Moreno de Borbón, Director of Cinegética; Mr. Íñigo Moreno de Arteaga, Marquis of Laserna, Minister of Cinegética; Mr. Fernando Saiz Luca de Tena, Minister of Cinegética; Mr. Marcos Quintas Melero, Councillor for Hunting and Mr. Ángel López Maraver, President of the Royal Spanish Hunting Federation.

The General Director of IFEMA welcomed the authorities, exhibitors and visitors to the fair, highlighting the importance for IFEMA of a fair such as Cinegética, capable of receiving nearly 40,000 visitors. For his part, the President of this edition of the fair also welcomed everyone and highlighted the presence of the President of the Regional Government of Extremadura at the opening of the fair. The Vice President and Minister of the Presidency and spokesperson for the Community of Madrid, stressed the importance of hunting activity for the Region and, in addition to congratulating the organisation of the fair for its work, stressed that hunting is a right that all Spaniards have, which some sectors are trying to criminalise. The event was closed by the President of the Regional Government of Extremadura, Mr Guillermo Fernández Vara, who announced, first-hand, that today the Hunting Law of Extremadura was approved unanimously by all political parties. He also stressed his hunting origins, on his father's side, who was his teacher in the knowledge of nature, adding that hunting is a way of life and that both hunting and fishing are embedded in the 'bones of society', so everyone should be allowed to be what they have chosen. Finally, he highlighted the pride that Spanish hunters must feel for having such an important meeting place as Cinegética.
After the ritual ribbon cutting, the delegation toured the pavilion, visiting the stands of Extremadura, the Wildlife Museum, the JNHT trophies, the wild boar exhibition by Dr. Gómez Sequeira and the 2019 Cinegética Awards, chatting with the various exhibitors.

Cinegética 2019 will be open to all visitors on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd, from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and on Sunday 24th from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
