It is here, now, when the dry cold of the jetty destroys your breath and perverts you. It is, here and now, winter and it hurts the soul.” (“Aires de Gloria”, Antonio Mata Huete).With a heavy heart and a broken soul, the entire Cinegética team is here to inform you of the sad news of the passing of our colleague and friend, Antonio Mata.
Antonio, not only does he leave us with a void in our lives, he leaves us with our souls in little pieces. Each one of those little pieces, if you put them together, makes you remember everything he has given us, all the moments in which you have made us laugh, cry and even those moments that will never come. Not anymore!
Antonio Mata Huete, tireless writer, hunter with a gun and a letter, a native of La Mancha, Villacañas without a doubt, is left orphaned. He began his career in the specialized press of the hunting sector in the magazine “Linde y Rivera” , later in “Jara y Sedal ”, and finally as director in “Caza y Safaris” and “Cazawonke”.
Mata leaves behind a great legacy in the world of letters, with many published works, novels such as Aires de Gloria , Baccanale and Claveles Rotos . Poetry, because Antonio was a poet in all aspects of his life, which he could not conceive without verses and rhymes.
Last Thursday, the entire Cinegética team was able to be with him, we laughed, we cried and we hugged each other, you filled us with magic and excitement, with that potion that only you could pour out and that we admire so much.
Thank you Antonio, for everything… Keep writing wherever you go, never stop doing it. Today we mourn you, but perhaps, among your letters, we will find comfort.
