Pedro J. Cabellos, Winner of the Ricardo Medem Award
Cinegética + SCI celebrated the presentation of the Ricardo Medem Award by Bergara Foundation during its annual gala dinner. The award is considered one of the most prestigious international recognitions in big game hunting, honoring the finest trophies based on the rarity of the species, the difficulty of the hunt, and the SCI score.
In this edition, the award was presented to Pedro J. Cabellos for an outstanding Dagestan tur scoring 162 7/8 SCI. The jury highlighted the exceptional quality of the trophy as well as the uniqueness and difficulty of the hunt.
The finalists for the 2026 edition were:
- Pedro Ampuero — Mid-Asian Ibex (Kyrgyzstan)
- Antonio Adán — Yakutia Snow Sheep (Russia)
- Luis Álvarez — Alpine Chamois (France)
- Manuel Reglero — Dagestan Tur (Dagestan)
