What are teratological trophies?
Teratological trophies are rare trophies, that is to say, with some particularity that makes them unique. In this case, during the Cinegética 2023 fair, a collection of 800 trophies will be exhibited, which will be moved from the Paco Mena Teratology Museum, located in Madridejos (Toledo) to pavilion number 14 of IFEMA.
What does the Paco Mena Teratology Museum consist of?
The collection that will be presented at Cinegética 2023 will include the most important pieces of the museum so that you can all enjoy them.
In 1961 Paco Mena obtained the first piece: a deer with an iron cable embedded in its skull. Since then, he has managed to put together an outstanding collection of trophies. A unique exhibition, possibly worldwide, due to the characteristics of its trophies, their beauty and their scientific-cinegetic interest, which can be enjoyed in this new and approaching edition of Cinegética 2023.
Will there be more exhibitions at Cinegética?
At Cinegética we will have many more exhibitions during the fair, in addition to those that exhibitors decide to hold at their stands. In addition, we can confirm that we will have the exhibition of our usual taxidermists: Artax Masedo, Garoz and Álvarez del Valle. Also, we will receive the species from the Museum of Wild Fauna (MFS) of Dr. Romero Nieto, an extraordinary display of hunting wildlife from all over the North American continent in their natural habitats.
