“ANTONIO MATA HUETE”
Cinegética-Sci announces the 1st “Antonio Mata Huete” Literary Competition.
The Contest proposes its genres on an annual basis, corresponding to the
call for the next edition of Cinegética-SCI 2025.
The following are the bases by which it is ultimately governed:
1. Anyone who wishes to participate may do so, regardless of their nationality, provided that they submit stories in Spanish, original and unpublished, not published in any format, either in whole or in part (including on the Internet), not awarded or pending a decision in other competitions, or awaiting a response in an editorial process. Failure to comply with this first rule automatically disqualifies the participant.
2. The theme must be related to Nature (Countryside, hunting, fishing, dogs, wildlife...) in a story, tale or poem.
3. The original must be typed double-spaced, using Arial, Times New Roman or similar, at 12 points. In A-4 size document, on one side only.
4. The original work must be submitted only in digital format. The work must be sent to the following email address: prensa@cinegetica.es
5. The subject of the email will specify: “I certamen Antonio Mata Huete”.
Two attached files in Word format will be sent in the same email:
a) In a file that will be named with the TITLE OF THE WORK in
capital letters, it will be sent under a pseudonym.
· At the beginning of the first page the NAME OF THE COMPANY will be placed.
WORK and on the next line the PSEUDONYM, followed by the text.
b) In another file that will be named with the TITLE OF THE WORK in capital letters, the following personal data will be sent:
• Title of the work
• Pseudonym
• Name(s) and surname(s)
• Year, city and country of birth
• Full home address, including country
• Telephone(s)
• Email
• Brief literary curriculum. Including the curriculum, data
Personal data should not exceed one page.
c) As data is essential, among other reasons, when it comes to

complete, such participation will not be accepted.
6. Formal requirements:
a. The work will have a maximum length of 10 pages.
b. A collection of short stories will not be accepted.
c. Pages must be properly numbered. No spelling mistakes.
d. Failure to comply with these rules will result in automatic disqualification.
7. A single prize will be awarded for the best work.
8. The prize will consist of: five hundred euros and a diploma. The winner will also receive an honorary pass during all the days of Cinegética-Sci.
9. The deadline for submission of original works will end on February 28, 2025.
10. The decision will be final and will be made public during the awards ceremony that will take place at the Cinegética-SCI gala dinner.
The winners undertake to mention the Competition each time they publish the text themselves, or to guarantee this when they authorize the text to be published by other media.
12. The Organizing Committee of this Competition and its Jury will not maintain any communication with the participants regarding their texts, nor will they offer any information other than the verdict itself recorded in the Official Award Certificate.
13.The composition of the Jury will be announced when the contest results are made public.
