
Cinegética 2021, the country and hunting fair, opens its doors to all fans
Since 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, Hall 14 of IFEMA, which hosts the eighth edition of CinegĂ©tica 2021 , has opened its doors to all lovers of the countryside and hunting. Despite being a somewhat special edition, due to the circumstances known to all, from the first moment visitors and friends have come to the annual event with its fair which, according to opinions collected, they had been missing for some time.At 17:00 hours the opening ceremony of the fair was held with the presence of the Minister of Environment, Land Use Planning and Sustainability of the Community of Madrid, Paloma MartĂn MartĂn , the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Fernando Miranda Sotillos , the General Director of Biodiversity and Natural Resources of the Community of Madrid, Luis del Olmo Florez , the General Director of IFEMA, Eduardo LĂłpez Puertas and the President of CinegĂ©tica, Fernando Saiz Luca de Tena , accompanied by the President of the Royal Spanish Hunting Federation, Manuel Gallardo Casado , the Director of Expo CinegĂ©tica, Rodrigo Moreno de BorbĂłn and other authorities related to hunting, the countryside and the environment.
The Director General of IFEMA welcomed the authorities, exhibitors and visitors to the fair, highlighting the importance for IFEMA that a fair of the stature of Cinegética has taken a giant step by being held in person and with exceptional security measures, supporting a sector as important as hunting for Madrid and for the whole of Spain.
For his part, the president of this edition also welcomed everyone and reaffirmed the intention that the fair be a unique meeting place for friends and hunting enthusiasts.

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has highlighted the importance of being able to attend a country and hunting fair in person, as well as the Ministry's commitment to defending a first-rate economic activity at the level of the national GDP of the agricultural sector and the defence of nature and the environment, being of vital importance for the sustainability of the rural world. He has also highlighted the different challenges that the Ministry is considering to build a discourse that allows hunting to reach society, stressing its economic importance and job creation.
The Minister for the Environment, Land Use Planning and Sustainability of the Community of Madrid closed the event. In her speech she stressed the need and the commitment of the Community to support a sector that is key to maintaining the countryside and nature due to its environmental value, which contributes in an essential way to creating natural heritage for all. She also highlighted the social and economic value of hunting, highlighting that federated hunters are the third national federation, by the number of federated hunters, behind the football and basketball federations.
Although the ritual ribbon cutting for the opening ceremony did not take place on this occasion, for health reasons, the delegation made a brief tour of the pavilion, visiting the stands of the Wildlife Museum and the JNHT trophy stand, among others, and chatting with some exhibitors.
Cinegética 2019 will be open to all visitors today, Friday 11th and Saturday 12th, from 10:30 to 20:30, and on Sunday 13th from 10:30 to 15:00.
