Cinegética-SCI Announces the 2nd “Antonio Mata” Literary Contest 2026
Cinegética-SCI announces the call for the 2nd “Antonio Mata Huete” Literary Contest, created in memory of Antonio Mata, a beloved member of the organization who passed away in March 2024. This annual contest aims to honor his passion for nature and his commitment to promoting the values of the countryside and wildlife.
The 2026 edition of Cinegética-SCI has now opened its submission period. The contest is open to all individuals, regardless of nationality, who wish to participate with short stories, tales, or poetry in Spanish, provided the works are original and unpublished, have not been awarded elsewhere, and are not pending a decision in other contests or publishing processes.
Main Participation Rules
Submissions should focus on themes related to nature (countryside, hunting, fishing, dogs, wildlife, etc.) and meet the following requirements:

Submit in digital format, double-spaced, in Arial or Times New Roman (or similar fonts), 12-point size, A4, single-sided.

Maximum length: 20 pages, numbered, and free of spelling errors.

Send exclusively to prensa@cinegetica.es, with the subject line: “II Antonio Mata Huete Contest.”

Attach two Word documents:

The work signed with a pseudonym.

A document containing all personal details of the author (full name, year, city and country of birth, town, province, phone number, and email address).

Failure to provide these details will prevent the submission from being accepted.
Prizes
The jury will award one main prize and two runners-up.
The winner will receive €500 and a diploma, and both the winner and runners-up will receive an honorary pass for all days of Cinegética-SCI 2026.
